Anne Fergusson

Anne Fergusson is a Scottish Chartered Accountant with more than twenty years of experience working across professional services, wealth management, and early-stage business development.

Anne began her career in accountancy before moving into restructuring and turnaround advisory, where she developed a strong reputation for supporting businesses through complex financial and operational challenges. Between 2006 and 2013 she led PwC’s Turnaround Panel from London, working with lenders, investors, and business owners to stabilise and reposition companies facing financial pressure.

In 2013 Anne moved into wealth management, joining Mattioli Woods as a Development Director. In this role she worked closely with high-net-worth clients, entrepreneurs, and property investors, helping structure and support property-led investment opportunities while building long-term professional relationships across the advisory community.

Since leaving Mattioli Woods in 2017, Anne has focused on investing in and mentoring early-stage businesses. She works with founders and leadership teams in the UK and internationally, providing strategic advice, commercial guidance, and access to networks that help young businesses move from concept to growth.

Anne returned to Edinburgh in 2020 after almost fifteen years in London. Alongside her professional services work, she is helping to develop the Scottish Design Fund, an initiative focused on supporting innovative engineering and product design businesses at an early stage of development.

Anne is also currently a member of the Membership Committee at The Royal Scots Club in Edinburgh, where she supports the club’s ongoing development and community engagement.

Anne represents Aetas Partners as a Workplace Ambassador for Aetas in the Workplace, helping introduce organisations and leadership teams to the programme and supporting conversations around financial wellbeing, employee engagement, and business performance. Through this role she works closely with Aetas to connect businesses with practical solutions that strengthen both organisational culture and financial resilience.
